Sundale Rotary Clubhouse

Update and Expansion

Murphy Builders were appointed as construction contractor, and provided the update and expansion to the Sundale Rotary Clubhouse in Burnside, allowing for the club to cater to larger social events for the retired residents.

The Sundale Rotary project consisted of the demolition of a toilet block and pool house, flora and fauna and a covered deck. Once this was complete it allowed the floor area to triple and made way for the new space to be transformed.

The new areas created include a new kitchen, dining area, library, cinema, hair salon, snooker room, bathrooms, landscaping and three expansive alfresco spaces.

The design and colours utilised the centres natural surrounds by using materials like spotted gum weather boards, natural stone, white render, dark trim deck and a dry river bed running alongside the driveway. A spotted gum bridge provided access for the many residents frequenting the club house.

Murphy Builders worked closely with the client and stakeholders to ensure all areas of the project ran consistently with the design intent, timeframe and budget.
