The Murphy Builders team threw its expertise and passion into a very special project – planning, designing and building Daniel House for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation at Palmwoods.
Daniel House was opened in 2019 and is the headquarters for the Foundation. It is the pulse of their national operations, and a centre for delivering a range of counselling and professional support services for young victims of crime.
Murphy’s dedicated team got fully behind the project at every stage and rallied hundreds of local suppliers to contribute their time, services and products, so that Daniel House was fully completed, fitted out and furnished ahead of time.
This, along with a government grant, meant that building came at nil cost to the charity. Daniel House won the Sunshine Coast Master Builders “Commercial building up to $5M” Award for 2019. And in Bruce Morcombe’s own words, “the Daniel Morcombe Foundation finally has a home".
