Since 2019, Murphy Group has proudly supported the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, beginning with the construction of the award-winning ‘Daniel House.’ Funded by donations and grants, the project won the 2019 Sunshine Coast Master Builders Award for "Commercial Building up to $5M,” providing the Foundation with what Bruce Morcombe calls its first true "home". 

Murphy Group is a proud annual sponsor of the Dance for Daniel, an event dedicated to honouring Daniel’s legacy and advancing the Foundation’s vital mission of child safety. Our ongoing commitment to this gala helps fund essential education programs and awareness initiatives that protect vulnerable children across Australia. 

Murphy Group has partnered with the STEPS charity, along with many local trades and businesses, to create Australia’s first live-in training home for young people with disabilities. Led by the team at Murphy Group, this facility was funded entirely by donations.

The Build it for the Kids initiative is another partnership where Murphy Group and the Daniel Morcombe Foundation collaborate with generous local trades, suppliers, and the community to construct a home. Once completed, the home is auctioned off, with each stakeholder donating time or resources. 100% of the profits go to the Foundation, supporting efforts to keep our kids safe.

Since 2011, the Murphy Homes Maroochy Surf Classic has been a must-see surf carnival, attracting professional ironmen, ironwomen, and surf athletes from across the country each year. Murphy Group is delighted to be the major sponsor of this esteemed event.

Murphy Group is committed to education for all. We worked closely with local Ni-Vanuatu and residents of Aore Island, Vanuatu, to help fund and build the Bernier Bay School for local children. We continue to support the school and kindergarten, by organising fundraising drives and support from Australian businesses to donate educational materials, books, stationary, school supplies and more.

The team at Murphy Group also organised a large donation drive and funded a shipping container full of relief goods sent over to Vanuatu following devastating Cyclone Pam. The team worked with Give to Vanuatu who collects desperately needed supplies to help those affected rebuild their lives.

At Murphy Group, we are proud supporters and sponsors of the Maroochy Swans Rugby Union Club, athletes and local sporting clubs. Our commitment to these teams goes beyond a simple sponsorship. By supporting local sports, we’re investing in the health and well-being of our community, helping to provide a positive environment for athletes of all ages to develop their skills, build teamwork, and pursue their passions.

Christmas is a time for giving at Murphy Group. Every year, our team assembles large hampers of food, books, or gifts for disadvantaged families. In collaboration with local charities and other like-minded organisations, we dig deep to donate to those in need, making the holidays a little brighter for the less fortunate.
