STUNNING REFURBISHMENT

Murphy Builders was appointed as the Design and Construct contractor on the Hotel Maroochydore project. The client requested a contemporary updated street appeal with a covered outdoor seating area, whilst modernising the internal layout to essentially encourage more patrons through the door.

The project included the removal of the outdoor seating area, roofing, walls and garden to make way for a more spacious setting. New windows and automatic doors were installed internally, and walls were extended out to make way for a new TAB area which was finished with new carpets, completing the fresh look.

The dining room was reduced internally and increased in the alfresco area to allow the pokies room to increase in size. To complete the project, the dining room and kitchen were upgraded with new linings to the walls, paint, carpets, tiles and cabinetry with a custom stainless top and furniture throughout.

During the construction of this project, the pokies room remained operational due to licensing and permit regulations. Key safety management procedures were maintained to eliminate potential hazards and risks to staff and patrons from start to finish.

Murphy Builders worked closely with the client, the consultants and contractors to ensure the project ran smoothly, on time and to budget.
